Steps to safe swimming for patients on peritoneal dialysis

I always went swimming in the ocean when I was on peritoneal dialysis. For what I saw on the Internet, and was told by my dialysis healthcare team, it doesn't seem recommended to swim in pools, rivers and lakes, being safer to do it in the ocean.
